Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is the most budget friendly of the three Disney operated hotels in the Disneyland Resort. The next inline on the move up would be the Disneyland Hotel and then Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the top level. If you're looking to save a little bit of money but still be on Disney property and lodging in the Disney magic then this might be a good option for you.
Location
The hotel is still located right on Disney property, just behind the Paradise Pier section of California Adventure. Unfortunately, you can't walk right into that section of the park but you can cross the street, enter the main entrance to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and from there use their Disney-hotel-guest only entrance.
If you want to walk from the Paradise Pier Hotel to Disneyland Park it takes around 15 minutes, walking at a slower (child-like) pace. There are sidewalks that will lead you to Downtown Disney District and from there you can walk down to Disneyland Park or take the shorter walk and then hop on the Disneyland Monorail - Downtown Station. You can also head into Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa from here which then has it's own entrance into California Adventure that we mentioned above.
Rooms
There are over 450 rooms and suites here, most come with either a king sized bed or two queen beds and many have a daybed as well. Suites are available as well. The room themes reflect the overall beach and ocean theme of the hotel.
Some of the rooms even offer views of the World of Color - Celebrate! show at California Adventure across the street.
Dining
On site dining options include Disney's PCH Grill, Surfside Lounge, The Sand Bar, and in room dining. You're also just a short walk away from all of the restaurants that the Downtown Disney District has to offer.
Pool & Recreation
The pool at the Paradise Pier Hotel is actually located up on the third floor roof and has a boardwalk inspired theme to it. It's not as exciting as the other Disney hotel pools but the pool is a great place to cool off and relax, it has a nice waterslide, a small splash pool for little ones, and a hot tub.
