Matt Anderson's Take
The Studio Tour is sort of the backbone of the entire park. It's sort of the one ride everyone should probably see no matter what. It's also very, very long at over 45 minutes and there are no bathroom breaks along the way. So get everyone to use the bathroom first and maybe bring a snack and drink on the tram (which is allowed).

The tour is all done on a long and slow moving tram style vehicle so it's a family friendly ride. The tour is hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon who will toss in funny comments here and there but will primary be narrated by a live person on the tram.

It starts out with a look at the various studio buildings and then moves along to various sets that have been used in TV shows and movies. Some productions may even be filming while you're on the tram, though the chances of a real celebrity siting might be rare.

A couple of other scenes include a chaotic subway train crash complete with fire and water effects. Speaking of water, there is a classic flash flood street scene that everyone will get a kick out of.

Some of the other more popular film sets include the plane crash from War of the Worlds, Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives, the Bates Motel from Psycho, and even the old school Jaws shark will make an appearance.

Of course, the big stars of the tour are actually the 3D tunnel sections which include King Kong 360 3-D and the Fast & Furious - Supercharged attractions.

There is also a night time version of the Studio Tour, called the Nighttime Studio Tour of all things, which is very similar but also a little bit different.

Worth whatever the wait is, easily one of the best rides here.

The Studio Tour is one of the better attractions in the park because it's long, interesting, and has some almost thrilling sections to it.

A lot of fun, we actually went on it twice in two days. Lots to see and a great attraction for movies fans too.

Talk about bang for your buck, at the end of the wait to get on the tram is a good 45+ minute experience. Sure, it starts out and is incredibly boring as you look at the outsides of studio buildings and then see another where Alfred Hitchcock once went inside or something (as if anyone cares). And sure, they may be filming something but you'll be so far away (as to not make noise) that you won't see any of that action anyhow.

But forget all of that, there is a lot of fun stuff going on here. Even if you're like me don't care at all about the celebrity factor or the "ooh and ahh" factor of seeing a Desperate Housewives house scene you'll still enjoy this. The King Kong and Fast & Furious 3D tunnel bits steal the show, but the flash flood scene, subway scene, and even the old Jaws gag are tons of fun.

I loved the Studio Tour. Jimmy Fallon was our video tour guide and funny, plus it was a nice long, relaxing ride.
