Excellent theming inside and out. Fun, but tame, boat ride. Great food.

Features
• Type: Walk Through • Height Requirements: None • Extras: Educational • Extras: Level: All Ages / Family Friendly

Epcot's Mexico Pavilion is one of only two countries in World Showcase that has an actual ride in it (the other being Maelstrom at the Norway Pavilion). The ride here is the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros which is a slow moving and very relaxing boat ride along the lines of It's A Small World but without the theme song. The line is usually short to non-existent so be sure to give it a try.

The exterior of the Mexico Pavilion is themed like a pyramid while the interior is very dark and has the feeling of a Mexican street scene. Towards the back is a river with a smoldering volcano. The theming here is done very well.

For food options you'll find La Hacienda de San Angel and La Cantina de San Angel outside of the Pavilion near the lagoon (which makes for a great place to watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from).

Inside you'll find the table service San Angel Inn Restaurante which is pretty tasty but also has an ambiance that is excellent. Try to get a seat near the river if possible and watch the boats from the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros go by. If you want to sample some Tequilas (they also have chips and guacamole here) then try La Cava del Tequila which offers over 200 varieties of Tequila to sample.

For shopping check out Plaza de los Amigos and La Princesa de Cristal - Mexico. In the lobby you'll also find a Mexican Folk Art Gallery as well as a Kidcot Fun Stop. Overall, Mexico is my favorite World Showcase pavilion.
