Toy Story Midway Mania manages to cram a bunch of fun things all into one experience. It's a ride since you'll board cars that move on a track. It's a game because your car will stop at several midway-style game stations along its route where you get to shoot and throw virtual rings on virtual things. And it's all in 3D.

When you get in line you'll be greeted by a huge animatronic Mr. Potato Head character, much like the Buzz Lightyear animatronic character from Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Once you work your way through the long line, you'll grab some 3D glasses (that will fit over existing glasses, even if not all that well) and board your ride vehicle.

The ride vehicles hold 2 people on each side and have two sides. Each person will go their own again which, again, is very similar to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Yank the string to fire virtual projectiles. The faster you yank, the more projectiles you spray out. The games vary a bit so on one you're shooting darts into balloons, another you're breaking ceramic plates, and on another you might be tossing rings on things.

You have unlimited "ammo" so shoot early, shoot often to rack up the most points. Basically, just never stop firing. You'll also see a lot of smaller targets, moving targets, and hidden targets that usually yield more points. Aim for those when you see them.

It's tons of fun and a very popular ride so expect long lines and long waits. There is a wheelchair accessible vehicle here as well but you'll have to transfer from an ECV to a wheelchair first.
