A very popular hotel, and not your average Ho Jo, because this one has a small water park.

This isn't your grandfather's HoJo! This Howard Johnson Hotel is full of surprises, especially for families. Let's start with it's location which is just east of of Disneyland Park, it's just across Harbor Boulevard from the Autopia in Tomorrowland. That puts it at roughly a 10 walk at around 1/2 of a mile to get to the parks from the hotel.
Rooms
A variety of room options and layouts are offered. On the smaller side they have single queen rooms with a bunk bed for 2 kids which are around 270 sq ft. Moving up, the single king bed rooms are 300 sq ft with the double queens running around 350 sq ft. Suites range from around 500 to 700 sq ft in size.
Pool & Recreation
So we have a good location, but how else do you set yourself apart from the hotels that line this area? Simple, throw in a water park. That's right, this hotel actually has a (mini) water park complete with a pool, kids splash area, several small slides, a large water dumping bucket that drops 200 gallons of water, mini water cannons, and other things that will generally get you and your kids soaking wet.
If the parks have given you your fill of screaming kids then head off to the separate, and quieter, pool or relax in their hot tub.
Amenities
In addition to a nice pool area, you'll find a lot of other nice amenities at this Howard Johnson Hotel. They offer free Internet kiosks with free printing (as well as free wi-fi in your room), free parking (which isn't as common as you'd think around here), a game room, and many rooms have balconies.
Dining & Shopping
Mimi's Cafe is a casual table service restaurants located right next to the hotel and offers American style dishes in a French New Orleans theme. They're open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch and dinner items include pastas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, and more.
The Main Street Market is open daily and offers grab and go food items and various other items like pool toys, newspapers, magazines, hats, rain gear, and so on. For breakfast they have various cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, and meal bars. For lunch they offer various fixings to make sandwiches as well as snacks, ice cream, and candy items.
Budget Hotel?
All of these added extras do come at a cost, so expect to pay close to $200 per night here for standard rooms and it goes up from there. It's a bit pricey and sort of moves the HoJo from the budget category level to something that's more on par with the Disney owned hotels.
