Revenge of the Mummy is sort of like Disney's Space Mountain along with some Expedition Everest technology. The rollercoaster takes place in complete darkness (like Space Mountain) but also has some bits that send the car rolling back down in reverse (like Expedition Everest).
This is a true thrill ride so, in addition to the darkness, expect loud noises, sudden drops, and extreme thrills. Director of the Mummy movies, Stephen Sommers, worked closely with Universal Studios to make sure the ride combines a haunted house like feel with a roller coaster (two of his favorite types of attractions).
