Liberty Tree Tavern used to be one of my all time favorite restaurants in Disney World, and their pot roast was my favorite dish along with a side of fried mozzarella and some sweet tea. I used to dream about that pot roast and look forward to it.

These days, Liberty Tree Tavern isn't the same. It's far too popular and crowded thanks to the Disney Dining Plan so you'll need reservations to eat here, often needing to make them far in advance (they're accept up to 180 days in advance) to eat at any reasonable hour. When you arrive the place will be packed full of people standing around (very few seats) to the point where you can barely move around.

The menu still offers that pot roast but it's not the same, far more bland than it used to be. The fried mozzarella is now standard and frozen mozzarella sticks which are terrible. The sweet tea they used to offer is longer an option.

As with many table service restaurants that are popular, the service will be very mixed. Often, the servers are just running around trying to keep up and most tables end up suffering in terms of good service. It's hit or miss but I always feel rushed when eating here now.

Bottom line, it's still good but not anywhere near as good as the experience that it used to be years ago.

If you have kids have them use a bathroom outside the restaurant before going in. There are bathrooms here but they're incredibly small and often have long lines.
