Expedition Everest is a truly top notch thrill ride and the best roller coaster Disney has ever made, at least in my opinion. The theming and attention to detail in this entire area, including the queue, is second to none and really makes you feel like you've entered Himalayan town.

You'll hop onto a pretty rough looking train and make your way through the Himalayas as you zig and zag your way in and out of the mountain. Will you see the mythical Abominable Snowman (Yeti) along the way? Certainly! Will he be function as intended? Probably not.

You see, when this ride first opened the Yeti was this massive animatronic that would growl and swing his arm as your train car went by. It was a truly impressive effect. Ever since it seems like the Yeti is in his backup mode which is a loud growl and a lot of strobe lights to make it feel like he's swiping at you when he isn't. It's been that way for years, truly a shame, and need to be fixed.

With that minor issue aside, it's still an excellent ride. There are no upside bits on this roller coaster but there are plenty of high speed thrills and one really impressive scene that will have your coaster going backwards.

You will want to get a FastPass+ for this ride as standby lines are painfully long.
