Everybody knows the giant golf ball near the entrance to Epcot, but did you know that the golf ball is actually a geosphere and it contains a ride inside? That ride is Spaceship Earth.

Spaceship Earth is a very slow moving ride with an educational theme behind it. It's sort of a time travel guide through human history. You'll start at the early days of man, work your way through the printed word, into the computer age, and the future beyond.

It's incredibly well done with amazingly detailed scenes, animatronics, and special effects that even include smells. The ride has been update a bit over time but is largely the same ride it was when it opened. The newest addition is the interactive bits near the end where you get to design your own "perfect future" on the touch screen in your ride vehicle.

This is a great place to take a load off your feet and just relax in the cool and dark interior but just a great overall experience. Because it's the first attraction you'll run into when you enter Epcot, the line may be long in the morning so just come back and ride later on as the line is often quite small and moves quickly.
