The Haunted Mansion is a classic Disney dark ride and always a fan favorite. It's one of those rides that sums up everything a Disney attraction is supposed to be.
If you're not familiar with it, The Haunted Mansion is a very slow moving omnimover style ride. After waiting and walking through the interactive queue, you'll head into the stretching rooms for the pre-show. If you have little kids they'll be clinging onto you here because it gets really crowded, really dark, and there are some loud noises. That's about as scary as it gets and even that only tends to panic kids because other guests will likely yell and scream a bit.
From there you'll fight through a crowd of rudeness (just wait, you'll see what I mean) to enter another, though very short, queue to board your Doom Buggy. From there you'll get to take a tour through this haunted house which includes scenes from a ballroom, seance room, and, of course, a graveyard.
It's all in good fun and a ride everyone should experience a few hundred times.
