Pixar Pal-A-Round, formerly called Mickey's Fun Wheel, offers two different ride experiences. One is a tradition Ferris Wheel experience where you board a cabin and slow revolve around.
The second option has you boarding a cabin that is on a track that is independent of the wheel itself. As the wheel moves around the track is changing direction so your car will slide around on the track. At times it will drop down a bit or swing a bit but it's all very gentle. It's called a wonder wheel and this one is one of only two in the US still in operation (the other is at Coney Island in New York).
Either way, the 9 minute ride is a great way to relax, cool off, and get great views of California Adventure from 150 up in the air.
