Matterhorn Bobsleds - Attractions On Disneyland Park Anaheim, California

The Matterhorn Bobsleds opened in 1959 and has the distinction of being the world's first tubular steel roller coaster. It's been upgraded over the years and remains an excellent hugely popular attraction.

This roller coaster certainly qualifies as a thrill ride and moves pretty fast down the mountain and might be a little bump for smaller kids. On that note, you should be in good health (free of back and neck pain, etc) before riding this ride.

There are two separate tracks so you'll likely be racing another train down the mountain. At the end you're car will actually run through a pool of water that creates a bit of a splash (not likely to get you wet). That dip into the water was put there to slow the vehicle down at the end as well as to cool down the braking fins on the bottom of the ride vehicle. Neat.

There is a single rider line so if you don't mind splitting up with your group you'll be able to get on much faster if the main lines are long.
