Dumbo the Flying Elephant is another ride I don't understand. While I can certainly enjoy this ride with my kids, it just doesn't last long enough to justify the (often) insanely long lines.

If you've never been on this ride you climb aboard one of the Dumbo's and then it goes around in circles slowly. You have a joystick which can make your Dumbo move up or down.

It is a very relaxing ride and you do get some nice views with the added height but it's a very short ride overall. That wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to wait a long time to get on but this one packs in a crowd and so you'll likely be waiting a long time to ride it.

This ride opened with Disneyland back in 1955 and back then they certainly didn't have the crowds they have today so it probably was a much better experience than it is today. I don't understand how they haven't expanded this ride by now. It either needs to be much larger with more Dumbos on it or, do what Disney World in Florida has done and, add a complete second copy of the entire ride right next to the first.
