Space Mountain is a roller coaster thrill ride that takes completely in the dark. It first opened at Walt Disney World in Florida in 1975 and it's since been copied and brought to other Disney parks.
You'll board a rocket (ride vehicle) and blast off into the outer reaches of space. Your two minutes journey will be filled with nearly endless quick turns, dips, and short drops. The soundtrack on this ride is pretty good but quite loud. The ride vehicles hold 6 people per car with 2 people per row.
Around Halloween, Space Mountain becomes Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. It's the same ride but adds different sounds, music, lighting, and other special effects. It also becomes a lot louder with the music cranking away in your ears.
This is a pretty rough ride so you'll need to be free of the usual health issues. If you don't like being bounced around then this one isn't for you. For everyone else, you're in for a classic treat!
