Narrow gauge railroad with steam powered train tours into the redwood mountains above Felton.
This is one of the best places to take your family on the weekend in the Bay Area. Traveling by steam engine on a narrow gauge railroad into the Santa Cruz Mountains is nothing less than awe inspiring. The beauty and age of the ancient trees is truly a gift from nature. We are given the opportunity to enjoy and respect nature in a unique way by traveling back in time when our relatives were chopping these trees down as fast as they could. Thanks to preservation efforts, these trees can now be enjoyed by our children for years to come. Some may complain that the prices are too high, but for me - I'll pay a bit more to have such a wonderful experience.
