Some make the mistake of calling this beach "26th Street Beach", but it's actually an Avenue. This is one of the few few dog friendly beaches in Santa Cruz. It's roughly a mile long and located across from Moran lake. The beach is wide, and has bon fire pits, which are used in the evenings. There are about 30 free parking spots, shower, and restroom facilities located in the parking lot across the street.

The beach itself is located far enough away from the big crowds at Cowells and Main Beach. It's a popular beach for surfers - there is a large boulder off the beach which causes a nice break, but be aware to surf away from it and avoid injury. The beach is clean and benefits from the monthly clean ups. The beach is good for sunbathing and the cliffs that extend on either side of the center of the beach have small coves for shade and protection from the wind.
