Anahola Beach Park overlooks Anahola Bay in the Anahola area on the east coast of Kaua'i. The beach has a classic crescent shape and a lot of facilities making it a popular beach with locals, but it's not as common with tourists.

The southeast end is the most popular side and has facilities like bathrooms, showers, picnic tables, and a lifeguard. Camping is also allowed here with a permit.

The southeast side offers more protection from waves and is better for children due to an offshore reef. Parking here is easy to find, just head to the pinpoint on our map / directions page.

The northwest end will be far less crowded and is popular with boogie boarders and surfers (surfing is only allowed at this end). The Anahola River empties into the ocean on this side which can lead to murky water and we never recommend swimming in murky water (see Shark Attacks In Hawaii). Parking over on this side can be done right off of Aliomanu Road where it parallels the river and ocean.
