This Basic Balsamic Vinaigrette can be made very easily at home. Not only will you be saying money, you will also be skipping all of the other nasty ingredients in store bought dressing.
I only make enough for my salad, but this recipe can be changed to make enough for a family.
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Combine all ingredients into a small bowl and whisk till combined. The Dijon mustard acts as an emulsifier to help the oil and vinegar come together, it also adds a nice flavor to the dressing.
You can also use Tanini as a substitute for the Dijon mustard. It is a much healthier alternative. This goes great on Matt's Miracle Salad Recipe.
