When my son was younger he always wanted something to eat before he went to bed at night. I didn't want him to have something that would keep him awake then I came across this recipe for Lullaby Muffins. They contain bananas, honey, whole wheat flour, and milk. All of which have properties that help you sleep. I have found that these are the perfect bedtime snack.

Lullaby Muffins
Makes 12 low fat muffins.
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 large, very ripe bananas
1/3 cup applesauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup milk or almond milk (I use almond milk, added bonus for sleeping)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine the flour (make sure that it's whole wheat pastry flour or you will end up with hockey pucks), salt, and baking powder. In a blender puree the bananas with the applesauce, honey, and milk. Blend well, then add banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Line muffin tins with paper muffin cups, pour in batter, and bake for 30 minutes or until the tops are lightly brown and slightly springy.
