Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano is a table service restaurant featuring Italian cuisine and is located in the Muppet Courtyard area of Hollywood Studios.
Food options include flat bread pizzas, vegetable lasagna, seafood cioppino, shrimp campanelle, chicken parmesan, and many other options. Kids also have a choice of several appetizers and entrees. Several tasty Italian desserts are available as well.
Reservations are highly recommended as this is a popular place to eat. A Fantasmic! dinner and show package is also available. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit.
Because this is Disney, even the restaurant gets a story! It goes like this... A young girl from a tiny Sicilian village had movie star dreams so she moved to Hollywood. Rather than acting, she found that cooking was her passion and made her father's secret recipes for her starving actor friends. They urged her to open a restaurant and the rest is history. That certainly sounds better than the reality which was Disney executives saying, "Hey, we need Italian food in the park."
