Long, long waits. Short, boring ride. Glorified carousel, nothing more.

Dumbo The Flying Elephant is a typical hub and spoke ride where you board a Dumbo and then can control the up and down movements of Dumbo as he slows spins around. After seeing how terrible this ride is you'll also want to avoid the very similar The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

Hate to be harsh but I just don't understand the point of these rides. Sure, I know, it's a Disney Classic but not everything Walt touched turned to gold.

So why is it so bad? The lines are insanely long, mainly because of how long it takes to load and unload all of the ride vehicles. Once on, the ride itself is far too short. While you're riding, it is quite relaxing and you get some neat views from the elevated position but none of that justifies the long waits.

Sure, you could burn up a FastPass+ on this one, but that's not worth it. And, sure, the did double the Dumbo capacity as part of the Fantasyland expansion that turned one Dumbo mess into two Dumbo messes but the waits are still really long for what is really just a carousel.

It's slightly better than The Magic Carpets of Aladdin simply because the queue has better shade and it has twice the capacity, but I'd still avoid it unless you have little kids who require this experience.

Disney purists will now have me burned at the stake for these comments.
