Konnichiwa? Welcome to Japan, or at least Disney's version of it. A bit boring, no ride or major attraction here.

Epcot's Japan Pavilion is a little boring. There, I said it. Okay, sure, it has some neat Japanese design elements like the Pagoda, the koi pond and garden area, and so on. It often feels very peaceful here which I really enjoy too and you can find some awesomely wacky things in the stored.

But other than a couple of stores there is nothing much to do here. Right, right, I know that the same could be said about the Morocco Pavilion which I really do like but it just feels like this one could have been so much better.

Supposedly, one of the original ideas for this pavilion was a roller coaster ride called Journey to Mount Fuji which was scrapped do to some issues with Fuji Film and Kodak (a Disney sponsor). That's exactly the type of attraction this pavilion needs.

Dining options include Katsura Grill, Tokyo Dining, Teppan Edo, and Kabuki Cafe. If you're looking to do some shopping then check out Mitsukoshi Department Store and Bijutsu-kan Gallery.

If you hear the pounding of drums then you're probably watching Matsuriza, a percussive band that plays and puts on a show. If you have kids don't forget to stop at the Kidcot Fun Stop here.
